Fabulous Bead Store in Tyler

I drove up to East Texas to visit my dad (and Canton First Monday,) and finally found the bead store in Tyler. It's called "Bead Crazee" on Broadway (AKA US Hwy. 69) south of Loop 323. (Phone: 903-581-7676)

You really have to see the Czech glass collection to believe it. It's utterly stunning. I mean, I've seen a LOT of Czech glass, but this store has the best selection I've ever seen. Colors, shapes and sizes that just made me want to do the Wilma Flintstone ("Charge it!")

The owner had just received the new permanent finish seed beads by Toho, so I had to get a few tubes. Since I wear at least a beaded ring every day, these beads will definitely give longer life to items like rings that get substantial wear.

The owners were wonderfully friendly and helpful. What a delightful surprise. Shopping for beads really is the best way to stretch one's legs on a long car trip, don't you think?

For those who are interested, I have finally compiled my collection of bead books onto Photobucket and added ISBN numbers.
