Two pieces:
This is from Bead Fantasies II by Takako Samejima. I confess to not liking the pattern in the book. It's too washed out looking. I had these adorable sunstone rondells though, and was looking for something to do with them because, you know, husbands expect us to buy beads for some other reason than fondling. :D I threw in some other beads I've been fondling er. . . had in my drawer forever (the unakite 2mm and the UT orange bicones) and discovered I liked the pattern after all; it just needed more definition.
The second is a cross from Complex Beads by Shizuya. This particular piece is called "Pray." It's a gift for our intern pastor at our old church in Anchorage. Shizuya's work is always so interesting, even if it's not always to my taste. I'm just not goth enough, I guess.
